At Trustseal, evolving means anticipating our customers’ challenges and overcoming them through technological innovation. Today, we are proud to announce our new thermoplastic triextrusion capability, a breakthrough that puts us at the forefront of the polymer processing industry.
We have built trust through quality and today we reaffirm our commitment: to provide you with more efficient, specialized and sustainable engineering solutions.
What is Thermoplastic Triextrusion?
Thermoplastic triextrusion is an advanced extrusion process in which three different thermoplastic materials are melted simultaneously to form a single profile or multilayer part. This technology allows each material to provide specific properties in a unified structure, optimizing technical performance and functionality.
Triextrusion derives from coextrusion processes, used in highly engineered sectors where different properties such as rigidity, flexibility, chemical resistance and thermal or acoustic insulation need to be combined in a single final product.
Why is this important?
This capability makes it possible to design smarter, lighter and more durable solutions, reducing costs, improving installation times and increasing the useful life of the system in which they are incorporated.
Triextruded Applications in Architectural Systems
At Trustseal, we apply triextrusion technology in the development of multicomponent profiles for high-performance architectural systems, especially in the manufacture of:
- Thermo-acoustic windows
- High sealing doors
- Ventilated facades
- Thermal insulation systems
Our triextruded profiles integrate three essential functions in a single piece:
- Rigid component: acts as a structural support, providing mechanical strength to the assembly.
- Self-lubricating material: facilitates sliding and improves functionality in mobile mechanisms such as windows and doors.
- Compression material: ensures hermetic sealing, increasing the thermal and acoustic insulation and energy efficiency of buildings.
- This multilayer structure optimizes the integration of different physical and mechanical behaviors, reducing the need for multiple independent components.
Technical Materials We Combine
Our new capability allows us to use strategic combinations of technical polymers such as:
- TPV (Thermoplastic Vulcanizate): High elasticity, excellent weather and temperature resistance.
- Flexible PVC: Adaptability and chemical resistance, ideal for sealing components.
- TPO (Thermoplastic Olefin): Light weight, impact resistance and excellent outdoor properties.
- TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer): Combines rubber properties with plastic processability.
- PP (Polypropylene): Structural rigidity, chemical resistance and low weight.
- Each material is selected based on its mechanical, thermal or chemical contribution to maximize the performance of the final profile, adapting to the specific requirements of each project.
Technical Benefits of Thermoplastic Triextruded
Implementing triextruded profiles in your projects offers real competitive advantages:
- Cost reduction: Reduced need for additional components, assemblies or reinforcements.
- Improved thermal and acoustic insulation: Optimization of the energy efficiency of buildings and vehicles.
- Increased durability: Superior resistance to environmental, chemical and mechanical agents.
- Advanced functional design: Possibility of complex and multifunctional geometries.
- Sustainability: Reduction of weight and materials, favoring more sustainable projects.
